Quick Winit Search Links

New Winits have been added March 2007
There is a link at the top of each page to view these new winits

They only appear once corresponding to their Letter or in French, Title Ribbons or Numerical

  • this is an alphabetized index, which will be a fast reference for the Winit title plus its corresponding number

  • there is a link to the left for each Letter of the alphabet, plus one for Francais and one for Numericals, (which designates those in which there is a number in the title, such as “200 Meters”); there is also one for Title Ribbons (which includes the French)

  • all are titled exactly as the wording on the Winit, as per the outer ring, with the exception of those where the inner circle is needed to make sense, or for clarification.  Example:  ACCELERATED READER AWARD (outside ring) ADVANCED

  • we have indexed some words two ways (not referring here to the Canadian vs American spelling of such words as colour/color and honour/honor):  Examples:  kilometre and kilometre, house league and houseleague, volleyball and volley-ball, Coed and Co-Ed

  • for those Winits that have no printing, the illustration is not always clear, so title is in brackets.  Examples:  “(COMPUTERS)”, “(BEAR)”, “(CHECK MARK)”, “(FLAME)”, “(GYMNASTICS {female})”

  • for some, where there is a title, the illustration is still not clear, so there is an explanation.  Examples:  BEGINNER AWARD (swimming); LEVEL 3 (swimming) – there are a few also related to (reading) & (wheelchair)

  • many listed twice, with the wording rearranged. See the examples following

    • under NUMERICALS plus the alpha listing:
      • 500 METERS (swimming) – also under S
      • BASKETBALL 3 ON 3 – also under a B
      • 1ST – also under F
      • 2ND – also under S
      • CAMP # 10 – also under C
      • 50 MILE CLUB – also under M
      • 60 KILOMETER – also under K

    • where the title has two possibilities, for those looking for same:
      • JUNIOR AWARD (canoe) – under J, and also under C, as(canoe) JUNIOR AWARD
      • HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE SET A GOOD EXAMPLE – under H, and also under S, as SET A GOOD EXAMPLE HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE
      • COSBURN MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL’S AWARD – under C, and also under P, as PRINICIPAL’S AWARD COSBURN MIDDLE SCHOOL – this also keeps all related school items in one place
      • KINDERGYM PHOENIX GYMNASTICS CLUB – under K, and also under P, as PHOENIX GYMNASTICS CLUB KINDERGYM
    • those beginning with “THE” are listed elsewhere under corresponding letter.  Examples:  BRONZE AWARD, THE (B);  ARTS, THE (A)

    • those which are French:
      • some words are the same in English and in French, so the Winits are listed in both places.  Examples:  COMMERCE and ANNIE
      • some are bilingual, so they are listed in both places, with the title renamed.  Example:  ART ORATOIRE PUBLIC SPEAKING under FRANCAIS, and also under P, as PUBLIC SPEAKING ART ORATOIRE
